Praise for a fallen member....
It is with heavy hearts that we give our prayers to all family memebrs and dearest friends of Don Chon "El Paisa", who was murdered, under circumstantial foul play. He was a member of the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Compton and served the community of Lynwood through his business. He will be missed but not long from our hearts.

Cliff's Texas Style Burritos is a hit with the community!
Located at 408 W. Alondra Blvd in Compton Ca., Cliff has been an institution of what Compton can and should be as a model community. Serving his world's famous 36" Soul Man Burrito is just one of the many choice items on the menu. With a flair for the original, Cliff says: "Ain't nothing here made the same as you think", which carries true to the community in which he serves. As a black business owner, he employees a variety of helpers from the Latino community. His chief caretaker, being Rosie is a star unto her own and a certified California Food Handler, through the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Compton. At the promo event on Dec 14th, 2014, The Latino Chamber of Commerce hosted the affair with Azteca and Folklorico dancers, Covered California and a host of others in attendance as well as a jumper for the kids! In the end of the day, a raffle for trinkets and everybody ate hardy after the shows were done. This in effect brought a slew of business to Cliff on a rather slow day, proving the effectiveness of the Latino Chamber of Commerce in Comptons' ability to maintain healthy relations with not only small business owners but the community in which we serve as well.
Ms. Compton Pageant!
On Aug 8, 2015, the city wide pageant of Compton's best and brightest, was in full fashion and compassion! The Miss Compton Pageant focuses on that and so much more, when it comes to crowning the one best in representation of the best of Compton. Though many did enter, only one can carry the crown and all its responsibilities of a leader, a community pillar of excellence and a shiney beacon of hope for the next generation of Ms. Compton, to come.
Would you believe that Maria Villareal, President of the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Compton, also was a judge at this highly competitive competition.
Even the guys got crowned!
